Workshop Description:
Create a variety of small ceramic altars that reflects something meaningful to you in this two-day workshop with ceramic artist Deborah Bridges.
In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to build personal altars in clay using simple hand building techniques, no previous ceramic experience necessary. Yours altars can be a space for remembrance, intention, inspiration, ritual, or simply a collection of objects that hold personal meaning.
Day 1: Build your altars using slabs and other hand building techniques, then sculpt small elements to personalize your piece.
Day 2: Glaze your finished altars and add color and character to make them uniquely yours.
Come with an idea, a meaningful object, or simply an open mind. There’s no right way to create your personal altars—this workshop is an invitation to make something that feels like you.
