Built in 1863, 244 Commercial Street in Downtown Nevada City has been home to Jackson’s Grocery, Osborn Woods, and JJ Jackson’s. Today, it’s home to Wolf Craft, which expanded from its York Street craft school to include a pottery studio and Art Cafe.
We’ve created a place where you can make something with your hands while enjoying a coffee, a glass of wine, or a bite to eat. Choose a craft project, meet a friend, or simply settle in and enjoy the space. You don’t need to take a class or bring a laptop. Just come as you are and spend some time making, eating, drinking, or being together.
THE MENUS
Explore our menus for food, drinks, and self-guided craft projects to enjoy while you’re here.

CRAFT MENU
You don’t have to craft to enjoy the café, but if you feel like making something, choose from our menu of self-guided projects. Everything you need is provided, just pick a craft and get started.

DRINK MENU
For drinks, we’ve skipped the espresso machine since there are plenty around town. Instead, we partnered with Wild & Tea on a range of tea steamers and spritzers, alongside delicious drip and iced coffee from Red Bay Coffee.
Our beer and wine license is on its way. 😅 Once it arrives, we’ll have a rotating selection of red, white, and orange wines, beers from Crooked Lane, and Gold Vibe Kombucha.

FOOD MENU
We partnered with Tony from Heartwood to create our menu. He’s a wonderful chef with strong connections to farmers through Sierra Harvest and access to some of the best produce around. We’re also serving Mapu’s empanadas (formerly at the Fern), organic sourdough from Deer Creek Bakehouse and Lexi’s famous smoked trout dip.
The only things not coming from Nevada City are our guilty-pleasure desserts.
