Summer Lilley is a fiddler and fiber artist based in the Southeast, where music and making shape her daily life. While she works as both a teacher and musician, fiber arts remain her creative grounding and lifelong passion.

Raised on a small farm with sheep and mohair goats, Summer learned to process fiber by hand from an early age. She began spinning at just four years old—standing on a chair and using a homemade CD drop spindle—and has been deeply connected to the craft ever since.

Through her teaching, Summer shares the ancient art of hand spinning on both wheel and spindle, inviting students to slow down, work with their hands, and connect to a tradition that spans generations.
