About the Instructor

Charne Morris
Stained Glass Artist and Educator
Charne is an Australian born artist, who moved to California in 2007. Having always been fascinated with glass art, in 2017 she decided to pursue stained glass as a hobby, teaching herself how to cut, shape, and solder glass to create something wholly original made with her own hands. In 2023, she pivoted her hobby into a fully fledged business, and Garden Shed Glass was born.
Her design and production process is deeply rooted in simplicity and organic design, with the natural world serving as her primary inspiration. Each piece is carefully refined down to its essence, allowing its beauty to emerge through minimalism. From sketch to solder, she single-handedly creates every piece, ensuring that everything that comes off her workbench is a unique, small-batch creation.
"The production process itself feels meditative, as each step requires my full attention and focus. This intentional, hands-on approach allows me to connect with each piece, ensuring it is both crafted with care and that the beauty of each piece shines through."
