Workshop Description:

We'll spend a whole day learning the steps of sandal-making: you will design, fit, and assemble a pair of dream sandals for your own feet. The design possibilities are endless, as long as your idea is open-toe and open-heel. Some variables to play with include material, hardware, heel height, strap layout, sole shape, and color. Rachel will bring many, many colors to choose from. If you have your heart set on a color you may want to email Rachel in advance so she can check if she has it. The sandals will be ready-to-wear at end of day.

**Consider wearing easy on/off shoes for our day of working with our feet. It might also be a good idea to bring water, snacks, and reading glasses, if you use them.

Artist and Sandlemaker

Rachel Corry is an artist and sandalmaker currently based in Santa Barbara, CA. Her brand RACHEL SEES SNAIL SHOES consists of teaching workshops, shipping DIY kits, designing prototypes, and occasionally fulfilling custom requests. Rachel studied Art and Design at UCLA and later taught herself shoemaking on her bedroom floor using books from the library alongside some advice from an English clogmaker. Since then, she has been teaching sandalmaking classes all along the west coast for the last 14 years. Her how-to book THE SANDALMAKING WORKSHOP was published in 2021.

Policies

By signing up for a class, you agree to these policies:

You may cancel a class for a full refund or class credit 14 days before the start date of the class. 

All scheduled classes and workshops start and end on time. Please be prompt in your arrival and departure, as we often have other classes starting after yours. Arriving 15 minutes late to a class counts as a no-show, and no make up class will be offered. Instructors are subject to change.

We reserve the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment or unforeseen conflicts. If a class is cancelled, we will do our best to reschedule the session.  If you are unable to attend the rescheduled class, you will be issued a refund. 

Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media.  If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive.

Wolf Craft Collective, LLC or any person or persons acting on its behalf is released from liability for any bodily injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of any personal articles while on the premises or while participating in any activity sponsored by Wolf Craft Collective, LLC. 

There is a metered parking lot very close to the Tinnery, please ensure you have coins to pay the meter, as it does not accept cards.

Gift cards can be applied toward all classes or Wolf Craft merchandise.  Gift Cards can not be redeemed for cash.  Gift Cards do not expire.
