Workshop Description:
Lost wax casting is an ancient metalworking technique used to create detailed metal objects by first forming a wax model, which is then melted away and replaced with molten metal.
We will be using various soft modeling waxes to build and carve your own pendant. I will walk you through creating your own design. All the tools and supplies will be provided, though if you have any small clay carving tools, feel free to bring them along.
After the class, your wax piece will be casted into beautiful golden bronze and will be ready for you a week later and can be picked up at Wolf Craft.
This is an introductory class so no prior skill is needed. Anyone from kids and up can come and create their very own pendant. You’ll be able to continue with this new skill of creating in wax as there are wax casters where you can send your creations to (or learn to cast yourself).
If you want your piece made in a different metal such as silver, there will be an upcharge but we can discuss any questions in person or feel free to email Lola prior to class at taxilhoax273@gmail.com
This class is for one pendant.
Each addition piece will cost $45 payable directly to the instructor
