Workshop Description:

Intro to Silicone Mold Making & Resin Casting

Bring your sculptures to life again and again!  In this hands-on, two-day workshop, you'll learn the essential skills to create high quality silicone molds and resin casts from your original sculptures or jewelry.  Perfect for beginners or artists looking to expand into duplication and small-batch production, this workshop walks you through each step- from mold design to final cast.  You'll leave with a completed silicone mold and your very first resin copy!

All materials provided.  Students are welcome to bring a small sculpture/artifact (under 4", bring multiple designs as back-ups) or choose from provided sculpts.

About the Instructor

Moksha Telson

Moksha Telson

Interdisciplinary Artist and Educator

Moksha is an interdisciplinary artist who has spent the majority of his life traveling, observing, and investigating various myths and cultural traditions. The symbols and archetypes gleaned from these travels have formed a lasting impression on the artist, who longs to create artifacts that uplift the viewer on both a conscious and subconscious level. In 2012, Moksha founded the Altarpiece/Art Toy company Panthyon, where he continues to design, sculpt and inhabit the world of "Ancient Futurism". He derives great joy in teaching and helping others transform their visions into reality, as well as creating artifacts that resonate in a universal and archetypal way, pieces to be unearthed and pondered over by archeologists of the future.
Moksha currently resides in the Northern California foothills, and exhibits globally and locally, as well as teaching figure design, mold making, and casting.
